Talkeetn Mountains / Cretaceous Ocenas features recent ancient marine discoveries from Alaska’s Talkeetna mountiains. The mural includes Alaska’s first documented instances of two distinct prehistoric marine reptiles: Elasmosaurus and mosasaurus. Also featured in the mural is Alaska’s first and only armored dinosaur, the ankylosaur - Edmontonia as well as pterosaurs, the giant clam Inoceramus, a six gilled shark and two unique type of ammonites - Diplomoceras cylindraceum ( a sub-specie) and Menuites nelchinensis.
